A shared record for diverse knowledge
Plantuse compiles data from major databases and resources for each plant, then lets the community improve and extend it. Contributors can collaboratively edit articles, add common names in any language, and submit use reports following the EBDCS standard so that uses are recorded in a consistent, comparable way.
You can add structured data (e.g. plant properties, distribution), document cultivars and landraces, and join the discussion forum attached to each plant and each cultivar—so identification, uses, and local knowledge stay in one place and evolve together.
Food systems that strengthen biodiversity
Our work focuses on neglected and underutilized species in regions where nutrition, livelihoods, and conservation intersect. We support research that considers both ecological diversity and cultural practices—building toward food systems that protect and regenerate biodiversity while honoring traditional knowledge and climate-resilient plants.
